Telangana Changes State Code from ‘TS’ to ‘TG’ and Makes Several Other Key Decisions
In a recent cabinet meeting, the Telangana government decided to change the state’s code from ‘TS’ (Telangana State) to ‘TG’. This alteration will apply to all vehicle registration plates in the state. According to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, the previous government adopted ‘TS’ on a whim, and no other state in the country has ‘state’ in its label. The decision was made to execute a pledge made by the CM during the assembly election campaign.
The meeting also included other important decisions. The cabinet agreed that poet Ande Sri’s ‘Jaya Jaya He Telangana’ would be the state song. This song became popular during the Telangana movement. The cabinet further decided that changes would be made to the ‘Telangana Thalli’ (Telangana mother) statue to reflect the aspirations of the people.
